Children truly are the future in the SJV

By | March 8, 2016

Examining the age distribution of the population in the SJV shows us that children are an important category – 30% of the population is under the age of 18.  As a result, promoting well-being among children is crucial for the health and growth of the region.

While children make up 30% of the population, they are also a very vulnerable group,  poverty, air quality, and other social determinants of health in the SJV means that many children living in this region are not able to reach their full potential.
