Op-ed in LA Times about recent flu research

We recently had an op-ed published in the LA Times encouraging funding for more flu vaccination campaigns among Latinos.

This op-ed was based on a recently published article by myself and graduate students Jennifer Mendiola and Van Do-Reynoso titled Generational status as a determinant of influenza vaccination among Mexican-identified adults in California, 2011-12, which was published in Preventive Medicine Reports.  In this article we show that second and third generation Mexican-American adults have lower odds of reporting receiving a flu vaccination than first generation Mexicans adults in California.
